Job Description
Patient care
- Provide high-quality care
- Perform physical exams
- Assist with examinations and treatments
- Monitor patients' conditions
- Record and report symptoms
- Bathe patients and care for their mouth, nails, and pressure points
- Give and remove bed pans and urine pots
Patient education
- Educate patients and their families about conditions and treatment plans
- Promote health and safety
Workplace safety Identify and address hazards in the workplace, Develop programs to maintain health and safety, and Document injuries and illnesses.
Care coordination
- Develop care plans based on patients' needs and preferences
- Facilitate continuity of care for patients across settings and providers
Other responsibilities Assist with the development of staff, Champion patient rights, Manage medications, and Provide wound care and control infections.
