Job Description
Sales representatives have many duties, including building relationships with customers, generating sales, and planning sales strategies.
Building relationships Identify and qualify potential customers, Contact new and existing customers, Answer questions about products, Maintain contact lists, and Follow up with customers.
Generating sales Present sales proposals to potential customers, Negotiate prices and terms, Prepare sales agreements, Close deals with potential customers, and Meet and exceed sales quotas.
Planning sales strategies
- Develop sales strategies for product lines
- Create and manage leads through the sales pipeline
- Collaborate with colleagues in different sectors
Maintaining records Maintain client records and Submit daily and monthly sales reports to management.
Other duties
- Be knowledgeable about the product
- Emphasize the features of products
- Demonstrate value to prospects and customers
- Articulate how products or services meet a buyer's needs
Sales representatives should have excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
