Job Description
Customer service Greet customers and present menus, Make suggestions based on customers' preferences, Check in with customers during their meal, Ensure customers are satisfied, and Provide information about the menu and current specials.
Food and drink service
- Take and serve food and drink orders
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner
- Bring food and drinks to customers
- Process payments when the meal is over
Health and safety Follow safety and sanitation regulations, Maintain a hygienic environment, and Check products for quality.
Communication
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and managers
- Communicate special requests to the kitchen
- Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
Other duties Arrange table settings, Keep tables clean and tidy at all times, Up-sell when appropriate, and Deliver checks and collect payments.
A waiter's ultimate goal is to provide exceptional service that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
